1) Describe your call to plant a church?
Ever since I was at Bible College when I was 20 I have desired to start something new. It became more defined to be church planting when I was going to Dallas Theological Seminary. God has slowly shown me what he wanted me to do.
2) Describe the community where you are planting?
League City, TX is a suburb of Houston. We are in in Old League City which has a quaint and charming atmosphere. There are high percentage of Hispanics and Blacks compared to other suburbs in the area. It is a middle income .with pockets of poverty.
3) How are you developing your core group?
We use a discipleship curriculum called Growth Groups. It requires homework and for participants to be involved in discussion. Also, we have a program called “Seminary without Homework” that we use to develop leaders theologically. It is based on the theology program developed by reclaiming the mind ministries.
4) What is the church's vision, mission, and values?
The vision, mission, and values are all the same. G.R.O.W. – Grow believers, Reproduce Disciples and Leaders, Outreach to Seekers, and Worship Christ.
5) What does community life look like in your church?
Community life happens in the Growth Groups and the other Life Groups. We study Scripture and pray for one another. Then we encourage one another to reach out to our lost family and friends for Christ.
6) How can we pray for you?
Pray for my wife and I to have strength and endurance to keep running the race.
